A White Wall

A WHITE WALL

short film

still from the film A WHITE WALLThis short film got its ispiration from Luigi Pirandello's theater-piece "Henry IV". An unsuccessfull composer of modern music who is locked up in a mental institution after attacking his wife is no longer able to distinguish between reality and his delusions of being a famous composer. The film was shot without sound. Music, dialogue and effects were added later. The film was edited without a moviola, the negative cut directly, as in the early years of film-making.
